The fiddle is the mainstay of instruments used in traditional music in SW Donegal, and many notable players have come from this region, including Kilcar's own Francie 'Dearg' and Mickey 'Ban' O'Beirne. Founded in 1934 St Charthas Pipe Band is famous throughout the North West.

We have had many great singers and storytellers in the area over the years a tradition that is still strong in the area to this day.
